Hawaii to Portland
- Me: I refuse to find someone in Hawaii. Specially a Filipino girl. Once 2015 comes, I'm out of here. (Unless they have intent of moving)
- Friend: don't worry, you'll find someone in Portland. A Filipino hipster that has a nose ring and wears plaid shirt.
- Me: A Filipino girl??? Why not a white hipster?
- Friend: Well from your list, you do have a thing for Filipino girls. It's inevitable.

My letter to you
I find it hard to admit that I did fall for you. You were a contradiction to the ideal but you are very real. From the start of what I thought would be a beautiful dream coming to a reality…. Reality woke me up to find that in the here and now, we can never be. If you think that I stopped trying, you are most-likely right. Timing couldn’t have been so perfect yet so bad. It’s the epitome of all stories. I don’t want you to hurt me as much as I don’t want to hurt you. I may have hurt a few in this lifetime but enough to not do it again. You lead your life as I lead mines. It’s just too bad we are taking different paths.
Not saying you will never see or hear from me again. For now, this is my indirect closure of a chapter I named after you. Not completely writing you out, but to just simply start anew.
Let’s move forward…

Difference between quitting and losing? I quit because I chose not to try. I lost but at least I tried.

Words of distress and feelings. Arise of things that could’ve been, would’ve been and should’ve been. Blast of the past haunts the present. The future has been foreseen but is not guaranteed. Written in the head that came from the heart. Deep in the hole the rabbit dug. Do you search for the magic hat? Illusions you showed gave hope to the kid. Grew up and woke up. Nothing is there. Blame the burglar in search for someone to blame. Closed door with no luck. Wailing for help with the Height of the walls echoed. Trapped in the mind. Boggle in panic and eyes opened shut. The dream came out but reality sinked in. Love is shallow. Life is unpredictable. Real is ideal yet ideal isn’t real.
If the situation was different, then of course the approach and action taken would also be different.
